Kontinuumsmechanik (Continuum Mechanics)

  • type: lecture
  • semester: winter semester
  • sws: 2
  • ects: 3
  • lv-no.: 6215702

Syllabus:

  • Kinematics of finite continuum deformation (general, nonlinear strain measures)
  • balance relations for mass, linear momentum, angular momentum, energy and entropy
  • nonlinear elasticity and thermoelasticity
  • basic fracture mechanics

Aims: The purpose of this lecture is to familiarize with the general concepts of continuum mechanics (kinematics of deformation, balance laws, constitutive relations) as well as their application to engineering problems.
